About this quiz

This quiz tests note names and accidentals. You will name the natural notes on the white piano keys, fill in the missing note in a sequence and decide whether two notes are a whole step or a half step apart. You will also get questions about sharps, flats and natural signs, for example what a raised C or a lowered D is called.

Each round has 6 random questions drawn from a bank of 24. You need 60% correct to pass, and when you are done you can review your answers.

Consider reviewing Part 1: Note Names and Part 5: Sharps and Flats in the course Music Theory from Scratch before you start.
